Getting Started
1. Downloading Royal Vegas Poker software
Look for any DOWNLOAD button. Click it and a smaller
window will open containing an input field for your email address.
(This is required in order for us to send you your account verification
and activation details.)
Input
your email address and click the DOWNLOAD button beneath it. Your free
Royal Vegas Poker software will start downloading. A grey download box
will open, prompting you to "Save this program to disk". Click
"OK".
You will now be prompted to choose somewhere to save the poker software
file (RoyalVegasPoker.exe) to your hard drive. Choose a location
and remember where that is. Click the "Save" button. (Be
assured that this file cannot do anything else to your computer
other than allow you to install and play Royal Vegas Poker.)
The software will now start downloading to your computer.
Once the file has finished downloading you will be ready to install
the software.
[Note: The software works on Windows 95, Windows
98, Windows 2000, Windows NT or Windows XP - you will not be able
to play using an Apple Mac.]
2. Installing Royal Vegas Poker
Find the RoyalVegasPoker.exe file that you downloaded
and double-click it. This will launch the Royal Vegas Poker install
wizard.
Follow the prompts and install the software as you
would any other program.
On the 4th page of the wizard you will see an option
to "Create Desktop Shortcut" - if you select this option
an icon will be placed on your desktop that will allow you to connect
and play online poker by double-clicking it.
Once the installation has completed (after you've
clicked the "Finish" button), you will be ready to connect
and register to play online poker.
3. Connecting and Registering
First connect to the internet.
Then double-click the Royal Vegas Poker icon on your desktop if you selected
that otion when you installed, or go to Start | Programs | Royal Vegas
Poker | Play Poker!.
The program will open and will connect to the Royal Vegas Poker
server. (You may see messages informing you that it is checking
versions or upgrading software - the program is simply ensuring
that you have all the latest software.)
Once you're on the main poker screen, click on "Login",
and then click on the "Register Account" button.
Now you have a couple of options. You can register as a Guest (with free
credits that the poker room provides) or as a Real Player (where you purchase
credits for real and WIN real money as well as receive FREE money promotions).
[Note: If you register as a Guest player and later want to become
a Real player you will get the opportunity to do so each time you
login for a new poker session.]
You just have to follow the instructions and enter
your email and contact details. When you're asked to enter a password,
bear in mind that it's case-sensitive and you should write it down
somewhere so you won't forget it.
Once this is all done, we'll give you a player account
number. Keep them in a safe place so that you won't lose it! You'll
need these each and every time you want to play.
We'll also ask you if you want the software to remember
your password. We recommend that you only select "yes"
if you are the only one who has access to the software. Choose wisely
as other people can play and use YOUR MONEY!
4. Playing
